Beautiful out of the way place. The family run establishment is awesome. They are so good. Friday night dine and music as awesome. Can't wait till Saturday night for some dancing.
The staff are very friendly, accommodating and helpful, the washrooms and shower are clean and the sites are well maintained. I enjoyed my stay very much!
They stuck a note using packing tape on one of the decals on our new 5th wheel. The note was not for us but for the site next to us. Spent vacation time removing sticky left over, will have to replace decal. Paid for the dinner and show, but because "seven people showed up who did not have a reservation" two dinner choices were gone before we had a chance to eat. I am not sure if the meat was roost beef or just beef, but it was burnt with no option of a less well done slab of beef. They also ran out of horseradish sauce. When I commented to the owner he said, "he knows how to fire a customer he has to do it often". He did offer a refund, I accepted he never followed through.There were many cats that have the run of the campground, this could be good or bad, but one was trying to get in our storage compartment. Electricity was out for some of our stay. I would avoid this campground, it was not a pleasant experience for us.
We had a wonderful time with family at the Dance. It was awesome live music and some great dance instruction. We stayed for the whole time and would love to attend again.
We attended a family reunion here and had a great time. Paddled canoes, played basketball. Couldn't swim in the little lake due to algae. We stayed in the bunk house. The bunk house is a single wide mobile home. The three bedrooms are booked individually and there's no indoor bathroom. If you don't book all three rooms, you'll be sharing the communal areas with strangers.
